Digby Area Skating Club Policies

Helmets - All skaters, regardless of experience or age, must wear a CSA approved helmet up to and including CanSkate Stage 5

Liability - The Digby Area Skating Club will not be responsible for personal injury or loss of property

Media Permissions - Digby Area Skating Club would like to share accomplishments of our skaters with our larger community.  This may include photos published on our website, or social media.  By registering to a Digby Area Skating Club program, you consent to the club posting to these outlets.  You can withdraw consent at anytime by emailing digbyskatingclub@gmail.com

Refunds or Cancellations - All programs are eligible for a full refund up to 7 days prior to the program start date or in the event of a program being cancelled because it has not met its minimum number of participants.  If a registrant withdraws from the program within 2 weeks of the start date a 50% refund of program registration cost will be refunded, after 2 weeks fees will be refunded with a medical note on a prorated basis (less a $50 administrative fee). The Skate Canada membership fee is non- refundable once applications have been processed.

Program Changes - Digby Area Skating Club Reserves the right to change and/or cancel sessions depending on registration, to accommodate special events or emergency situations.  There will be NO make-up sessions for snow days and/or rink closures

Payments - payments must be made in full before a skater is allowed on the ice.  If skater has applied for funding then proof of application must be emailed to digby.skating@gmail.com at the time of registration and full payment is due no later than 2 weeks after program start date regardless of status of application.  If funding application is approved after payment has been made the payment will be refunded.  The club will consider payment plans on a case by case basis but payment must stay ahead of time spent on ice.
